About Us
It all started in 2004 when my daughter, Alicia, and her friends decided they wanted to play with puppies. They visited a local pet store where Alicia met Twix. He was an adorable little 11 week old puppy with a cold that had kept him from being available. It was fate and Alicia fell in love and thus began our life with yorkies. My husband, Bill, a staunch opponent to pets while my daughter was growing up, fell hard for the little bundle of fur. We joke that he loved Twix more than Alicia.

Like potato chips, you can never have just one. A few years later we got Polo. Polo was the opposite of Twix, instead of being loud and demanding, he was chill and quiet -- at least until his golden years. The two were quite the pair and had many adventures together. Sadly, in early 2020, we lost Twix, a few months shy of his 16th birthday. Later that year, my husband visited the local post office in Duck, NC where he met Durwood and a couple yorkie girls enjoying their golden years accompanying their dad to work. He took it as a sign and in December, Astro joined our family. The next 2 years were filled with ups and downs. We lost my husband and Durwood lost Sherri. But we got Toby, and Durwood kept Lucky and made his succession plan for his pack. We spent 2022 through 2024 learning the ins and outs of breeding yorkies from Durwood. This leads us to now, we took over My Grace Yorkies in October 2024 and re-branded as B&T YorkieWorks in honor of my late husband Bill and the yorkie who started it all, Twix.
